The Tragic Love Story Inside
The most emotional piece of the discovery was in a small wooden box nestled at the bottom of one trunk; it contained bundles of love letters, neatly tied with ribbons. Upon beginning to read through them, I realized they were written during war. The letters presented a really deep, personal love story between two people who were torn from each other because of conflict.

And one letter really did it to me. It mentioned how the house must be their haven, a place where they could spend the rest of their old age together after the war. But as the pages began to go by, the desperation in those letters turned very real with lines such as, “I will wait for you, no matter how long time it takes” and “This house will stay empty until we are together again”.
And now it would come to be realized that the much-hoped-for reunion may never have happened. I could almost feel the burden of those unfulfilled promises in the room. These letters were not just the words; they were pieces of a love story arrested in time, awaiting some minute attention to dig and remember them all.
