Mystery of the Hidden Room
As I kept digging up the secrets of the room, I felt I had to get into the history of the house. So, I contacted the local historical society and, boy, was their story great. The previous owner was a globe-trotting explorer and an amateur archaeologist. He had mysteriously disappeared, and his whereabouts were still unknown.
The neighborhood carried rumors about him for years; that he just vanished somewhere along one of his expeditions, while others claim he went underground, and no one has ever known about the secret room in his house and the treasure that he left behind. It was there that I came across his journal, love letters, and artifacts that may have given me a glimpse of the life of a man who lived to have adventure but whose heart seemed to carry heavy burdens.
