The Witching Hour: Paranormal Peak
As midnight crept closer, the air inside the asylum became even thicker. While the hours surrounding midnight are often known as the “witching hour”—hours when paranormal activity is thought to be at its strongest—I really couldn’t say whether or not I believed in such things. But as the clock strode past midnight, the strange occurrences grew.
I started hearing these faint whispers in rooms down the hall, as if people were having conversations. Their voices were too soft to make out what they were saying but sent shivers right through me. I hear, from the time that a woman might be softly weeping somewhere down the halls. I followed the noise but seemed to just move away from me because of my direction of walking, and then I got rather deeper into the building before it stopped entirely.
