Researching the Museum’s Haunted Past
I was keen on knowing exactly what I had seen, so I began researching the museum’s history. It was not long before some pretty disturbing facts were unearthed. The museum was constructed at the end of the 1800s on what used to be a hospital. During a cholera outbreak within its own premises, it could not contain all the patients, hence most of them died in the same place where the museum now stands. Inside the walls of the museum, many ghost sightings and strange occurrences had been reported in the past years.

Some of the objects themselves had dark histories. The Egyptian exhibit consisted of artifacts exhumed from tombs, and some said that several of those pieces were cursed. The Victorian pieces had once belonged to families that had known great tragedy. The more I read, the more I realized that it made me believe that the spirits of old still lingered, unable-or unwilling-to move on.
