Natural Light and Ventilation
Any small house must ensure the natural light and ventilation to keep the air inside fresh and open. The design by the couple was full of large windows and openings strategically placed so that natural light could flow through the space. Expansive windows not only provide a beautiful view of the outdoors but also help to brighten up the whole house, giving it an open feel and an invitation to live there. Among the priorities that the couple had was avoiding a dark and cramped environment. On the walls, they installed windows and placed glass doors opening up to a mini balcony or outdoor space; therefore, every day was flooded with sunlight.
The couple had also taken careful consideration about airflow and ventilation. They installed ceiling fans in the living area and bedroom to keep the air circulating, ensuring that the space didn’t feel stuffy or uncomfortable during warmer months. They also included an open layout to allow cross-ventilation—air can flow freely through the kitchen, dining, and living areas, making the space feel fresh and inviting. This attention to airflow and light helped keep the home feeling cool, bright, and energizing while reducing the need for artificial lighting or climate control systems.
These are what will make the space ultimately feel open and free-natural light and good ventilation. Despite its small size, the small house gave the couple a balanced environment where sunshine and fresh air were both abundant. This allowed for an especially strong connection to the outdoors, which made this home feel like a peaceful sanctuary in harmony with nature.
